Privacy Policy
Last updated October 30, 2026
AgentPad is made by David McGavern (“we”), who publishes it as Loopware. We collect as little as we can, never sell it, and never use it for advertising. Questions or requests: davey@loopware.com.
Your work stays yours
Your prompts, code, files, projects and conversations never come to us. They stay on your Mac, or go straight from your Mac to the AI service you chose (for example Anthropic or OpenAI) under that service’s own privacy policy. What AgentPad syncs to your iPhone and iPad goes through your own iCloud account, which we can’t read. Logins you keep in AgentPad’s Vault stay in your Mac’s Keychain.
When you buy
Our reseller Paddle is the merchant of record and handles payment. Your card details and billing address go to Paddle, under Paddle’s privacy policy, never to us. Paddle tells us your name and email, which plan you bought, when, and the amount charged, and its own customer, subscription and transaction ids. We keep those with your license key, so the app can show your license, so you can manage or cancel it, and to email you your key and receipts about it.
The app sends your license key to loopware.com when you enter or activate it, while Settings ▸ License is open, and when you buy, manage or cancel from there — only to look up and change your plan.
Anonymous usage counts
AgentPad for Mac sends a few anonymous counts so we can tell how many people use it and which kinds of agents: that the app connected, that a session started and with which kind of agent (e.g. “Claude”), and the app version and macOS version. They carry a random install id and nothing else that identifies you — never prompts, file or project names, models, accounts, emails or your license key, and they’re never joined to your purchase. Turn them off any time in Settings ▸ Viewing ▸ Usage Data.
Beta testers
If you join the beta, we keep your name and email, your beta code, how you joined (a group or a friend’s link), and whether you asked for occasional news emails. Beta builds also send one check-in a day you use them — your beta code, the app version and your macOS version — and always send the anonymous counts above. That’s how we see who’s testing and on which version. Issues you file from a beta are listed under your code so you can follow them.
Reports and feedback you send
When you use Help ▸ File an AgentPad Issue or Feedback, what you write — and logs or a screenshot, only if you choose to include them — is filed in our private issue tracker on GitHub. Feedback by email stays in our email.
Other connections
- Updates — the Mac app checks loopware.com for new versions.
- Downloads you ask for — agent tools, local AI models and simulators come straight from their publishers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Hugging Face or Apple).
- Our web server keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses, for a short time to keep the site running and safe.
How long we keep it
Purchase and license records: as long as your license exists, and afterwards as long as tax and accounting law requires. Beta records: while you’re a tester; ask and we’ll delete them. Anonymous events: 90 days, and daily totals about a year.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to stop news emails, by writing to davey@loopware.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights under data-protection law, which we’ll honour.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we’ll update this page and the date at the top first.
